East Valley High School

The goals of the modernization and addition project are to allow the District to alleviate crowding, accommodate future growth, and upgrade the existing high school buildings to modern standards.


The school will remain an occupied site during the duration of the project, requiring multi-stage phasing of the work. Site work includes demolition removal of existing hardscape, extension of new utilities, a new paved bus drop and parking areas, storm systems, and grading to support the new footprint.


A portion of the existing building is being demolished, and a majority of the remaining building is to be remodeled. The addition includes a new 2-story south classroom wing, new administration, commons, auditorium, new CTE/STEM classrooms, a new 2-story science and classroom addition.


Addition areas include classrooms and a wrestling room. HVAC systems will include a combination of rooftop air handing units for large volume spaces and new VRF (variable refrigerant flow) units for heating and cooling. LED fixtures are proposed for lighting. The roofing is a SBS Modified Bitumen membrane will be specified for the roofing.
