Located in beautify Wenatchee, WA, the location of this property is perfect for quick weekend trips for fun and recreation. Its proximity to both the Columbia River and Lake Chelan provides guest the opportunity to swim, paddle & enjoy the myriad of boating activities with ease. In the wintertime, Mission Ridge it just minutes away for cross country, downhill skiing and sledding. AVID Hotel is close to fine dining, wine tasting, shopping & more and is a budget friendly alternative that has all the amenities! Did we mention AVID Hotel is pet friendly too? There is a designated dog relief area so quests with pets have a viable option when they travel which is just another bonus to this amazing property!

The biggest challenge with taking on the AVID Hotel project was that it was actually started by another general contractor who went out of business during the course of construction. The client was frantic to keep his dream hotel alive and the City of Wenatchee recommended Fowler Construction as a viable candidate to get the project complete. JT Turner’s vast construction knowledge helped us protect the client’s best interest ensuring his framing was code compliant. Multiple corrections to shearwalls, hold downs, and incorrect framing assemblies were made before we could even continue with the remaining build. The next major challenge was within the Pool & Spa areas. There was a major design coordination issue between architectural versus mechanical design which cause a re-design and resubmission back to the State. FGC project team pivoted around this completing the necessary scopes of work out of sequence to secure the earliest possible temporary Certificate of Occupancy for the Hotel while completing the Pool & Spa area as a second phase. This resulted in the client enjoying an addition 2.5 months of profits for his hotel which was able to open 10/19/2022. We anticipate the remaining work in the Pool and Spa to complete and open 1/9/2023.
